We want you to be happy with every order from Cold Clothing Store. If something is not right, this policy explains what you can return, how, and within what timeframe.
Please read this policy carefully before initiating a return. By placing an order on coldclothingstore.com, you agree to the terms of this policy.
1. Return Window
You may request a return within 7 days of the date of delivery. Requests made after 7 days will not be accepted, except in cases of manufacturing defects that were not reasonably visible on first inspection (see Section 5).
The delivery date is determined by the tracking record of our courier partner. It is your responsibility to inspect your order promptly upon receipt.
2. Eligible Reasons for Return
Returns are accepted for the following reasons only:
- Wrong item delivered — You received a product different from what you ordered (wrong size, wrong colour, wrong product).
- Defective or damaged product — The item has a manufacturing defect, stitching fault, print defect, or was damaged in transit.
- Size exchange — The labelled size does not match the actual measurements of the product. This does not apply to personal fit preference — if the product matches its labelled size but does not fit as you expected, it is not eligible for return.
We do not accept returns for:
- Change of mind or personal preference.
- Colour variation due to screen display differences.
- Fit or styling preferences not matching personal expectation.
- Items purchased during clearance sales or marked as final sale.
- Items that have been worn, washed, ironed, or altered in any way.
- Items without original tags or packaging.
- Items with odour, stains, pet hair, or any signs of use after delivery.
- Items damaged after delivery due to misuse, improper care, or negligence.
3. Condition of Returned Items
To be eligible for a return, items must:
- Be in their original, unused, and unwashed condition.
- Have all original tags attached and intact.
- Be returned in the original packaging or equivalent protective packaging to prevent damage in transit.
- Show no signs of use — no odour, no stains, no stretching, no pet hair, no alterations.
If a returned item does not meet these conditions on inspection, the return will be rejected and the item will be sent back to you at your cost.
4. How to Initiate a Return
Follow these steps to request a return:
- Email us at admin.coldclothingstore@gmail.com within 7 days of delivery with the subject line "Return Request — Order #[your order number]".
- Include in your email:
- Your order number.
- The item(s) you wish to return.
- The reason for the return.
- Clear photographs of the item(s), including any defect or issue, and a photo of the tag(s).
- Wait for approval. We will review your request and respond within 2 business days. Do not ship the item back before receiving approval — unapproved returns will not be accepted and will be returned to sender.
- Ship the item back after receiving written approval from us. We will provide the return address. Pack the item securely to prevent damage in transit.
- Share the return tracking details with us once the item has been dispatched.
5. Manufacturing Defects Found After Use
If a manufacturing defect becomes apparent only after you have worn the item (for example, stitching that unravels after the first wear), you may raise a claim within 15 days of delivery by emailing us with photographs and a description of the defect.
We will assess such claims on a case-by-case basis. Defects caused by improper care (e.g. incorrect washing, machine washing delicate fabrics) are not covered.
6. Return Shipping Costs
- Wrong item or manufacturing defect: Cold Clothing Store will bear the return shipping cost. We will either arrange a pickup or reimburse your return shipping expense (up to a reasonable amount) upon receipt of the item.
- Size exchange: Return shipping is at the customer's cost. Forward shipping for the replacement item is free.
We recommend using a tracked shipping service for all returns. Cold Clothing Store is not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit during the return. Risk of the item remains with you until we receive and confirm receipt.
7. Return Inspection
Once we receive your returned item, we will inspect it within 2 business days. We will notify you of the outcome by email.
- If the return is approved: We will process a refund or dispatch a replacement, as applicable, within 2 business days of approval.
- If the return is rejected (item does not meet return conditions): We will notify you with the reason and return the item to you. Return shipping charges for a rejected return will be at your cost.
8. Exchanges
If you would like to exchange an eligible item for a different size, we will dispatch the replacement after receiving and approving the returned item. Exchanges are subject to stock availability. If the required size or variant is not in stock at the time of exchange, we will offer a refund instead.
Each item may be exchanged once only.
9. Sale and Discounted Items
Items purchased at a discounted price during a clearance sale, end-of-season sale, or explicitly marked as "Final Sale" are not eligible for return or exchange, unless the item received is defective or incorrect.
Items purchased with a coupon code or promotional discount are eligible for return under the standard conditions listed in this policy.
10. Items Not Received
If your tracking shows your order as delivered but you have not received it, contact us within 48 hours of the marked delivery date. We will raise an investigation with the courier. Claiming non-receipt more than 48 hours after the marked delivery date may limit our ability to investigate.
11. Refunds on Approved Returns
Once a return is approved and the item is received and inspected, a refund will be issued to your original payment method. For refund timelines and details, see our Refund Policy.
12. Consumer Rights
Nothing in this Return Policy limits or overrides your rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other applicable Indian law. If you believe your statutory consumer rights have been violated, you may contact the National Consumer Helpline at 1800-11-4000 or approach your District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission.
